GRE Waiver Request Form

The GRE may be waived in cases where all of the following criteria are met:

1. A graduate (master’s or higher) or a bachelor's degree in psychology or a counseling-related field

2. A minimum 3.5 upper division undergraduate or overall graduate grade point average.

3. Completion (with a B or higher grade) of at least 1 undergraduate or graduate course in statistics, plus one other course in one of the following areas: biological bases, developmental, learning & cognition or sociocultural/individual differences as noted on official transcript(s).

4. At least one of the following as indicated on resume/vita:

· 1 supervised clinical/helping project/experience or

· 1 supervised research project/experience

Please Note - Applicants with a competitive GRE score will still be able to apply to the program and will not be held to these additional criteria.

Applicants will be contacted via e-mail with a decision on the waiver request after department review. Approval of the GRE Waiver Request does not guarantee admission to the program. Prospective students must still submit and complete a Graduate Application and meet all university and department admissions requirements to be considered for admission.
