GRE Waiver Request
The GRE admission requirement will be waived for outstanding applicants who meet at least one of the criteria outlined below for demonstrating Success and Aptitude for Research plus at least one of the key criteria demonstrating Academic Preparation. These criteria are as follows:

Undergraduate and/or Post-graduate research experience in relevant fields*
Extensive relevant research or laboratory experience in related fields.
Authored or Co-authored research paper(s) published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
Extensive relevant employment.
Strong letters of recommendation indicating an aptitude for research.*

". In order for your GRE Waiver request to be reviewed, you are required to request Letter(s) of Recommendation through your Application Status Page. Access to this page is made available upon submission of your graduate application. Once letters of recommendation are uploaded by your recommender, the EOAS Department will be able to fully review your GRE Waiver for consideration.
*Related fields include, but are not limited to, all of the basic sciences, mathematics, earth sciences, environmental sciences, engineering and computer sciences.

Upper-division undergraduate GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher from a nationally or internationally accredited college or university.
Graduate GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher from a nationally or internationally accredited college or university.
Strong letters of recommendation providing evidence of scholarly achievement and potential.*
