GRE Waiver Request Form
All applicants applying to an online MS, online EdD, or the online EdS
Educational Leadership and Administration
graduate program must submit a valid GRE result or be approved for a
GRE waiver
. To be considered for a
GRE Waiver
you must complete the form below and provide the requested supporting documentation through the Document Upload below.
Note
: Applicants with a competitive GRE score will still be able to apply to the program and will not be held to these additional criteria.
Please Note -
The GRE has automatically been waived for master's and specialist applicants through 2026
. Please do not complete this form if you are a master's applicant. All you need to do is submit a graduate application and the GRE requirement will automatically be waived.

GRE Waiver Request Criteria
The GRE requirement can be waived for outstanding applicants meeting ONE of the following criteria:
10 years of professional experience in an educational setting with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
A completed doctorate degree in another field or discipline (e.g., JD or MD) with a 3.0 (or better) GPA from a North American accredited institution.
A completed master’s degree or EdS degree with a 3.75 (or better) GPA from a North American accredited institution.
Note: Applicants seeking a waiver under this condition are
required
to submit an additional document that provides specific details regarding their leadership experiences and the leadership skills acquired through these experiences. Upload this document below under "

".
Further, applicants seeking a waiver under this condition are required to have at least one letters of recommendation from a direct supervisor that provides specific details regarding their leadership experiences and the leadership skills acquired during these experiences.
The GRE requirement can be waived for outstanding applicants meeting BOTH of the following criteria:

Applicants must have: a current Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate, a passing score on the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) General Knowledge exam, at least two years of full-time PK-12 classroom teaching experience, and be currently employed by a school or school district.

An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor’s degree.
